sunny side up?

After the last Reefwalk, pammy whammy told me 'bout some jelly-like blobs at the sea lagoon that she called "upside down jellyfish". One of the participants in fLoGgiE's group, Sharon Lai, got a pic of it here:

Damn kewl... Looks like translucent egg-yolk to me. So, wuzzis man?

I'm going to make a WAG (Wild-Ass Guess) and say that it is the lens from a decomposed jelly fish.

Of course, I could be wrong and it could be anything...

Yap, saw it many times and did ask bluebird what it was. Me thot that it was a sponge. Need to get Papa Jeff to confirm.

They are comb jellies ... so they are jellyfish of sorts ... not sure what type though.

At the end of the year, they can carpet the beach as the tide goes out.
